Results of EXCIMER Laser Clinic

The EXCIMER laser clinic started its performance in May 1995. As soon as 1992 all the doctors of our clinic operated by means of this technique. This year the Ophthalmological clinic in Bratislava-Kramare as the first department in Slovakia started applying the excimer laser in refractive surgery.

Up to the present more than 25.000 operations have been performed.Using the excimer laser method we have the longest experience and the greatest number of successfully operated patients in Slovakia. We prefered LASEK /EpiLasik/NoTouch TransPRK methods.

People interested in correction by means of excimer laser often ask about the probability of optimal result of the operation. The precision of the laser instrument is almost absolute and checked daily before the operations. The result of the intervention is to a certain degree influenced by the character of restructuring of the corneal tissue during the period of healing, which is very individual and variable.
